Customers who use this site will range from those saying "What's Megasquirt ?" to those who know far more than me,
On that basis I have tried to set it out more for the 'Enthusiastic Beginner' than the 'Techie Gurus' - Those guys will soon identify exactly what they want or need in seconds, BUT, if your new to Megasquirt it can seem hugely overwhelming at 1st, so hence this page, and the way the site has been designed.
The "What do I Need" page gives you a simple overview of what you'll need in total. You may chose to get it all from here, or just some of it, that's your choice, but, and its key - there are a vast range of Rover V8s, and I have gone to great lengths to ensure that I can cover the vast majority of them, and with real quality products.
For all 'Installs' there are basically 2 things to remember :
Specific Parts - These are parts that are specific to your engine.
For example : The Coil Pack Mounts, VR Sensor Mounts, Trigger Wheels, Plug Lead sets, PWM Mountings &Hoses etc. What will fit a 3.5 EFI may well NOT fit a 4.6 Serpentine V8. Therefore you need to Visit the links opposite for the V8 engine derivative you have and these pages then show the engine Specific Parts available for your engine.
Generic Parts - There are a vast range of products that I have tried to make, or indeed are "Universal" on all Engines
i.e. You need them for your Megasquirt Conversion, but they are the same unit, irrespective of which Rover V8 Variant you have. For Example : The Coil Packs, Lambda Sensor Unit, ECU, EDIS 8 Loom Plug &Wiring, Plugs &Pins, Waterproof Plugs, Weld in MAT &Lambda Plugs, VR Sensors, MAT Sensors, Vacuum Hose etc.
Megasquirt V8 Ltd was set up at the start of 2010, as such I am still prototyping new products. Those that are available show "Good Stock", some are coming any day, and, as the site may not be 101% up to date - as I'm often locked in the "Inventing Shed" - Ring and Ask !
