The Standard "2 Pin differential unit" is legendary for its weak pin breaking, normally wrecking everything else as it shatters.
Options to get a stronger unit are limited only by your wallet, ARB, Ashcroft Locker, Quaiffe ATF, KAM etc are all rather spendy, especially if all you want is a strong open differential. So, I have this as a cheap solution for those looking for exactly that.
What you have delivered (or you can collect) is a Land Rover Long Nose Differential Casing, shot blasted chemically cleaned and finished in Black (once built up), with new bearings throughout (2 x Carrier, 1 x Head 1 x Tail - we only use Timken) plus a new Pinion Seal AND New Flange, with a std 3.54 Second Hand Long Nose CWP Set (or we can fit your own CWP any ratio for £20 less !) and a heavily machined second hand P38Short Nose 4 Pin centre, converted to fit - all built up with correct backlash etc, with HD 12.9 Ton carrier bolts, all Blue checked and ready to fit.
This unit is massively strong. For even more strength it can also be "Pegged" (see photo), and represents fantastic Value for money.
